Helen, co-founder of Vanilla in 2004, is the daughter of a traditional grocer, bringing the philosophy of fresh, quality produce to Vanilla. A maths graduate, she spent 4 years professionally sailing around the world, before becoming an accountant following the Pirelli Management Scheme. As COO & FD of Fat Face for 8 years, she was instrumental in the growth and management of their infrastructure, as well as instigating top-notch customer service ethics. She still races a 56ft Swan in various international regattas, when work commitments permit!
Sally completed the esteemed Trust House Forte management programme following her accountancy degree. She then spent 20 years working for various London hospitality based establishments, before becoming Facilities Manager for PMA. Here she organised conferences, catering and events and became a member of the British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM). Sally spent several years cruising around the world, before spending two seasons managing a group of chalets in the Alps, and joined Vanilla as a director in 2008.
Martin, is a qualified accountant by trade, and has a background of working for large corporate companies including Pirelli, Marconi and his last role was as the Financial Director for Pfizer, pharmaceutical multinational. Here, he not only had responsibility for accounts but also for the customer services and the delivery of exceptional performance levels. He joined Vanilla full time as a director in January 2006.
Li, our head chef, is a perfectionist. Trained in Argentina, she has worked across the continents on shore and on motor yachts and has an incredible talent for presentation. Li is supported by a friendly, professional team that cares deeply about providing the best in catering and events management, every time.
Vanilla has a wide portfolio of repeat customers. We design our menus to specifically suit each client and event to ensure that the entire customer experience, from initial meeting to the main event, is friendly and relaxed yet efficient and professional.
