It’s August

Where has the last month gone. Hampshire Fare excelled themselves this year by organising a whole range of amazing foody things including our own delicious dessert classes.  We ran these on three evenings and each evening we were fully booked.

Here are a few of the wonderful comments we received from participants;

Thank you very much for giving us (Camilla and me) such a great evening last Tuesday. We really enjoyed making the raspberry roulade, tasting all the yummy extras and learning a lot along the way. You gave us a very happy cooking experience and were all so friendly and helpful - let us know when we can come again!

I just wanted to say thank you for the wonderful dessert workshop yesterday. Paula and I were made to feel very welcome and everyone was very friendly and extremely helpful. The whole experience was fun and I although I know it is not something you do on a regular basis I wondered whether you would be interested in giving me a quote for doing something similar as I think that it is a fab experience that many of my friends would love.

Thank you all very much for a brilliant and enjoyable evening on 19th July 2011.  I attended last year and this was equally if not better, I am happy to report.  We enjoyed all the little tasters like the Tia Maria and the white chocolate iced lollys and I’m sure we will enjoy the large package we brought home with us. Lee and your team, thank you very much we all learnt something as well as having good fun.  If you ever decide to run any other courses we would love to hear about it.

So another successful set  of masterclasses , watch this space we  may run some classes in the autumn.

We were beaten at the final hurdle by Chocolate Craft who won the Hampshire Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the year so congratulations to them, never mind as least we made it to the final.

The bookings are still rolling in and last month we had a record month.  Our charity the EllenMacarthur trust ( is benefitting immensely as for every guest at you wedding or event we will donate 20p and as it  was a record month for Vanilla hopefully we have put a smile on a few children’s faces.

This weekend we are at all of our favorite venues to cater for more weddings, Farbridge, The Tithe Barn , Winchester Guildhall and Hill Place, if you need any information on these venues please feel free to contact me

We are also pleased to announce that we are now one of the preferred suppliers at Chawton House Library (

Chawton House Library is an approved premises for Marriage and Civil partnership ceremonies. Chawton House was once owned by Jane Austen’s brother, Edward, who four years after the death of his father, was able to offer a cottage in the village of Chawton to his mother and sisters, Cassandra and Jane.

The house is situated in this beautiful English country village, with spectacular parkland grazed by sheep, cattle and majestic shire horses. The tranquil and picturesque setting and its unique historical and literary links, make Chawton House the perfect venue for your special day.

Only five marquee weddings a year are held at Chawton House which ensures that it is a truly exclusive location.

So if you want your day to be extra special then this is the place to be.

Its Cowes week next week, we have boats leaving the local marinas at the crack of dawn to go out racing armed with bags of our delicious food to keep them going throughout the day.

For those of you who have not organised your Xmas party there still is time and we will be holding a series of themed party nights at Winchester Guildhall

Have a great week , please feel free to call the office if you need any advice on your wedding, party or corporate event,  our team of professionals are always on hand to give advice
