Giving Something Back
Vanilla and The Ellen Macarthur Cancer Trust
Last year for every wedding or three course corporate event we catered for, we donated 20p per head to Frank Water (www.frankwater.com). The money we raised is helping to fund the installation of a clean water project in Andhra Pradesh ,India giving safe drinking water to over 7,000 villagers so hopefully we made a little difference and we will continue to support them by buying their bottled water.
This year we have picked a charity a little closer to home the EllenMacarthur Trust ( www.ellenmacarthurtrust.org)
The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust is a national organisation that gives young people between the ages of 8-24 who have suffered from cancer and leukaemia the opportunity to take part in the new and fantastic experience of sailing.
The Trust was launched by the internationally-renowned sailor Ellen MacArthur on 2nd January 2003.
For every guest at you wedding or event we will donate 20p to the trust so we hope that a happy occasion such as a wedding or party will bring a little happiness for young people aged between 8-24 by allowing them to sail to help them regain their confidence, on their way to recovery from cancer, leukaemia and other serious illness.
