Giving Something Back

Vanilla and it's  Charities since 2010

In 2010  for every wedding or three course corporate event we catered for, we donated 20p per head to Frank Water ( The money we raised is helping to fund the installation of a clean water project in Andhra Pradesh ,India giving safe drinking water to over 7,000 villagers so  hopefully we made a little difference and we will continue to support them by buying their bottled water.

In 2011  we  picked a charity a little closer to home the EllenMacarthur Trust

The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust is a national organisation that gives young people between the ages of 8-24 who have suffered from cancer and leukaemia the opportunity to take part in the new and fantastic experience of sailing.

Our Charity for 2013 was a National charity called Facing the world Facing the World is a British registered charity that provides reconstructive surgery to children from the developing world with extremely severe facial disfigurements. Founded in 2002 by two UK craniofacial surgeons, their mission is to help those children for whom surgery can be life-changing and who because of limited local skills, medical infrastructure and finance have no other hope of treatment.

Everybody deserves the right to be able to smile, some of these children are so disfigured they will never have the opportunity to do this, facing the world is making inroads in helping these children. please visit their website for full details of the amazing work they do.

For the next two years (2014/5) we supported the same charity. this was usual for us  but we were so impressed with the  work of Naomi and her team at the wedding wishing Well appeal that it was hard to let them go. The Wedding wishing well appeal helps people who are terminally ill  to have their perfect wedding day.

Our Charity for 2016/7 was a little diffrent in that we supported Scott  Dawson in his bid to swim aroudn the sle of Wight for the The Marine conservation society and Meningitis now
