“Everything was perfect, and from you early advice to the reunion secretary Richard and Rosie onwards, you enthused them for the prospect of a very special dinner. Your attention to detail, flexibility and charm made the whole experience a delight. Among the guests were an ex Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), a Vice CDS, a Deputy CDS, (one lord and 2 knights!), generals from the US, Australia, Sweden, plus British admirals and generals and air commodores, and a lot of ex senior civil servants. It was due to our early arrival that we ran out of prosecco before the meal and I have to praise Cath for the tactful way in which she dealt with this problem and moved things along as quickly as possible.
